The Corporators of the Savings Bank of Manchester (SBM) first met on 11 May 1905 at the Odd Fellows Hall in Manchester, Connecticut, where they accepted the charter, adopted by-laws, and elected officers. After a long history as a local bank, the SBM Board of Directors merged with New Haven Savings Bank, a long-time Connecticut mutual savings bank serving the southern Connecticut market.
